Pay range:$81,153 to $96,913 annually

The Instructional Designer is responsible for assisting course authors/instructors in developing course curriculum and learning outcomes for blended and online courses developed by the Centre for Educational Excellence (CEE). The Instructional Designer assists course authors/instructors in identifying and implementing best instructional technologies and tools to advance the curriculum and learning goals of online and blended courses to ensure effective student learning. The role works independently as a designer, co-designer, and project manager for curriculum, program, course development, and learning activities for online and blended courses. The main responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to apply sound instructional design principles for all online and blended courses developed by CEE.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Education, Educational Technology, or a related field, and three years directly related experience, designing, developing and delivering online and blended courses.

Excellent knowledge of online and blended course development in a post-secondary environment.
Excellent knowledge of instructional design and technologies, curriculum and course development methods and research, and pedagogical practices in online and blended teaching and learning.
Excellent knowledge of interface design, web-based resources, multimedia technologies, and learning management systems.
Excellent leadership skills in innovative online and blended education practices.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Excellent collaborative strategic planning skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to develop and maintain effective collegial relationships in a post-secondary environment.
Ability to travel between campuses as required.
